"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise" -- Ephesians 5:15 (NIV) It’s easy to live life unwisely...all you have to do is live as humanly as possible. I go to work, more often then not, with my mind set on work; I don’t frequently go to work saying to myself, how do I make the most of this opportunity? What can I do for my coworkers today to show them that I love Christ? The trouble with Christians today is not our hearts; our hearts are still compassionate; the trouble with Christians today is their minds—it’s set on all the wrong places. 24/7 the mind most be set on God. When you leave for work, you shouldn’t say to your loved ones, ‘bye, I’m going to work,’ you should say, ‘bye, I’m going to serve God!’
If we go to work believing it is just a job, then all we are going to accomplish is our job; but if we go to work believing we are going to somehow serve God in what we do, then that’s what we will do. Wisdom is not logic; wisdom is when you come to a point in your life when you don’t have to think about serving God—you’re already serving him. How do you live?
