Imagine what would happen if C. S. Lewis traveled in time to the future, wrote a primer on the Christian faith, gave it to an unassuming librarian, and then vanished into thin air.
That’s sort of how I imagine Scott Douglas coming up with some of the deeper theological truths found in the pages of #OrganicJesus. I suppose it was much less dramatic than that.
#OrganicJesus contains equal parts humor mixed with equal parts truth about Christianity, in the sort of “organic” and preservative free way that most millennials and young at heart folks will appreciate.
This book is not a watered down Jesus encounter, but a full on book full of seeds to help regrow a vibrant and full faith. Douglas presents the essentials without neutering the power of the gospel, and allows the theological depth the same air time as his personal stories and illustrations.
This book may not be everyone’s cup of coffee, but if you are looking for more flavor and boldness in your faith, give #OrganicJesus a read.
